Join a New MNADV Committee!

MNADV is making some important changes to its structure and we encourage you to get involved! This Fall, members of our new Board of Directors will chair committees that focus on specific issues. Please consider joining one or more committee so you can have input on the issues that impact your work in domestic violence.

Indicating your interest in a committee means that you will be invited to participate and have input on the issues that the committee addresses. Your participation is voluntary and flexible. You are welcome to indicate interest in more than one committee.

1. Which committee(s) interest you?

Which committee(s) interest you? LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE: this committee will assess the legislative priorities and garner support for legislation to improve the safety and security of domestic violence survivors. They will make recommendations to the Board of Directors for the annual legislative agenda.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES COMMITTEE: this committee will advance domestic violence clinical and advocacy services, including representing the interests and needs of primary purpose domestic violence programs. They will discuss service provider issues, clinical, advocacy and shelter best practices and protocols, community education and prevention, and trainings.

FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT AND FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: this committee will provide financial oversight for the MNADV, including monitoring compliance with the budget, grants, and audits. A group within this committee will be established to identify and solicit corporate partners, identify additional funding, and plan fundraising events.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS COMMITTEE: this committee will represent organizations, allied professionals, law enforcement, government entities, and individuals who work to improve the coordinated community response to domestic violence victims/survivors and hold abusers accountable.
