PURPOSE OF STUDY:
This project will investigate how and why Godzilla has been related to specific locations in Japan.

PARTICIPATION BENEFIT:
By participating in this study, you will help establish the importance of media locations within the study of urban space.

Study procedures:
If you agree to take part in the study after reading this information sheet, and agreeing to all terms on the consent form (NEXT PAGE), you will do a short 15 minute survey.

POSSIBLE RISKS OR DISCOMFORTS:
This project involves no risk or discomfort to participants.

CONFIDENTIALITY:
Only those participants who give consent will be identifiable in the final research. All other participants will be anonymous and confidentiality maintained.

FREEDOM TO REFUSE OR WITHDRAW:
Participation in this study is entirely voluntary. You can withdraw at any stage without effect or explanation, and all copies of your survey will be deleted.

APPROVAL:
This study has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee (Tasmania) Network.

CONCERNS OR COMPLAINTS:
If you have any concerns on an ethical nature of complaints about the manner in which the project is conducted, you may contact an Ethics Officer (ph: 61-3-6226 2764) of the Human Research Ethics Committee (Tasmania) Network. The Ethics Officer can direct you to the relevant Chair that reviewed the research.

RESULTS OF INVESTIGATION:
You have the option of seeing any personal data that may result from this investigation. You will also have the ability to access the final report if you wish. A copy will be available at the School of English, Journalism and European Languages, University of Tasmania, Australia.
