Your Needs from Engineers Ireland's Chemical and Process Division
1. Welcome to Our Survey
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.
In December 2009 a number of like minded Process Engineers from Industry, Consultancies and Academia came together and kicked off the New Chemical and Process Engineering Division within Engineers Ireland.
Our motivation was based on the following:
1.0 We believe there has been a “support vacuum” for the Chemical and Process Engineering Profession for many years in Ireland.
2.0 We believe that our profession has contributed significantly to the development and growth in Ireland and has been instrumental in putting us on the World stage across many sectors (including Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Technologies, Food and Beverage. Oil and Gas, Consumer Healthcare, Microelectronics, Energy, Environmental, Science and Education).
3.0 We believe our profession has a significant part to play in Ireland’s future development and growth and can achieve this with greater success with a strong professional support structure in place.
However the support structure must be capable of delivering to the needs of Process Professional (from students and graduates to highly experienced engineers).
We have therefore created a brief survey to determine the “key unmet needs of chemical and process engineers in our Profession”.
We are asking you to take a few minutes to complete the attached survey as your views will give us the information we need to deliver the right support.
Even if you have no intention of joining a professional Institution your views are most welcome. Feel free also to send on this survey to other fellow Chemical/Process Engineers so we can get feedback from the largest possible sample.
We are actively trying to improve our support and services.
Please give us your own honest feedback and take the time to think about what your specific needs are as we are using your feedback to reshape our division.
