2013 Monsters Read to Achieve Program Presented by Cuyahoga Community College

Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters are excited to offer your classrooms the opportunity to participate in the 2013 Read to Achieve educational program presented by Cuyahoga Community College!

Read to Achieve is designed to encourage children to develop a life-long love for reading. The Monsters Read to Achieve program is a 4 week curriculum that runs from Tuesday, February 19th through Friday, March 15th and is open to all students in grades K-8 in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Summit, Medina, Portage, Geauga and Lake counties.

For each week of the program, the Monsters will provide participating teachers with a downloadable Read to Achieve Rally Poster that will encourage kids to keep reading by offering a fun reading challenge for students to tackle. At the conclusion of the program, teachers will complete an on-line form indicating how many students from their class completed the challenge.

Each student who participates in the Read to Achieve Challenge will be eligible to receive two (2) free tickets to a Monsters home game in April courtesy of Cuyahoga Community College!

Also, as a thank you for participating in the Read to Achieve program, each teacher who signs his/her class up will also receive two (2) free tickets to a select Monsters home game in April.

The deadline for registration is Friday, February 8, 2013, and every classroom that registers by that date will be eligible to participate. As a reminder, the program will begin on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 and conclude on Friday, March 15, 2013. If you are signing up multiple classrooms, please complete a separate registration form for each room. You will receive a confirmation email within 48 business hours of completing the online registration process.
