Sodexo-Jackmont Hospitality , The Scholarship Academy, Atlanta City Councilman Aaron Watson, Post 2, At-Large, and School Board Member Yolanda Johnson present the “I Am College Material” Scholarship as part of the 2nd Annual Scholarship Fair.

Atlanta Public Schools high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to success either through their extra-curricular activities, leadership initiatives or civic engagement are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is October 20,2011 at midnight.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Student must be a senior high school student enrolled in one the designated Atlanta public schools. Applicant must be present at The Scholarship Fair on November 3, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. in the Atlanta City Hall Atrium to accept the award.

2. Student must submit a transcript (unofficial is acceptable) to certify that his/her G.P.A. is in the 2.5 – 3.3 grade range.

3. Applicant must be able to demonstrate an overall desire to pursue and complete a post-secondary education, and a commitment to use their degree to impact the lives of those around them. The Scholarship Committee will use the student’s extra-curricular activities as key indicators.

4. Upon acceptance of the award, applicant agrees to serve as a Scholarship Ambassador, and facilitate scholarship information sessions for other Atlanta Public School students.
