The Child Centered 911 Missing Kids Readiness Project was created through a partnership among the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO), National Emergency Number Association (NENA), National Academies of Emergency Dispatch (NAED) and national AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program. Based on the Standard for Public Safety Telecommunicators when Responding to Calls of Missing, Abducted, and Sexually Exploited Children (ANS 1.101.2-2010), this program provides educational materials, technical assistance, and training to help 9-1-1 Call Centers effectively respond to reports of missing, abducted, or sexually exploited children.
