1. Your Green Studio

In her book Biomimicry, Janine Benyus offers ways to use nature as model, mentor, and measure for business. Biomimicry encourages everyone to observe and learn to align with nature. She reminds us that greening takes a deep commitment to be in balance with the ecological, social and economic needs of all life.

In celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Green Yoga Studios program, this brief survey looks at ways you and other studios express your commitment to the planet. It seeks a collective overview that can be shared with the media and incoming studios. It should take about 8 minutes to complete 3 pages. The results will be posted in October 2010 on the Green Yoga Association's website (www.greenyoga.org).

There are a total of ten questions with five on this initial page, which asks about your: a) general approach to greening the studio; b) operational choices; c) program and community choices; and d) facility and rebuilding choices.
