BDM Offsetting Discounts survey

 

In the next edition of our "PENSION relief brief" email newsletter we will look at pension values, including discounted values for use when offsetting. We plan to include the results of a brief survey on the range of discount values applied across the UK. We would appreciate your assistance by answering questions on discount values you would consider appropriate in different circumstances.

For each of the following four case studies, please indicate the discounted pension value you would consider reasonable for offsetting, depending on whether you are representing the husband or the wife. For the purpose of this survey the discounted pension value is the adjusted value of the whole pension, not just the husband or wife's "entitlement".
