1. Prestwould Broadband Survey

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey by Tiamet Communications, LLC. We are evaluating bringing Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Service to Prestwould. Your feedback is very important to us in determining the feasibility of this project.

Each home would be connected to the Internet via its own fiber cable. The data rate would be Gigabits per second, 100 times faster than a cable modem. At these data rates streaming video (Netflix, Games, etc.), Voice-over-the-Internet (VOIP), Online Education courses and Tele-Commuting, even with large data transfers, are a reality. As program and update downloads grow larger these speeds will be become necessary.
This is the Next Generation of Internet connectivity.

1. Have you ever used true broadband internet service? (Satellite and Verizon, AT&T “Air cards” and DSL are not true broadband).

2. If Gigabit Internet service was available would you subscribe to it?

3. Lack of a broadband Internet connection has been a cause for homes not to sell or rent. Did you know that a true broadband connection will increase the value and “sale/rent-ability” of your home?

4. Like all utilities there is an installation charge. How much would you be willing to pay for a one time installation charge?

5. What services would you like to be able to use over this connection? Please check all that apply.

6. Considering the features and uses above what do you consider a reasonable monthly fee for Gigabit service? (Sorry…Free is not an answer!)

7. How important is a “Vacation Discount Fee” to you? (A reduced monthly charge when you are not at the residence).

8. The Prestwould community will need to form a legal “entity” to help administer this project. Would you be willing be a part of the Prestwould Team?
