1. Registration for NNA Legislative Day - Tuesday, March 20, 2012
NNA Legislative Day will take place on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, from 8:30AM - 7:30PM. The day will start with a briefing breakfast in Arlington, VA at the Doubletree (EDS hotel) followed by Hill visits and a Capitol Hill reception at 5:00PM. As recent steady funding for NeighborWorks America has demonstrated, consistent, thoughtful and prioritized communication with members of Congress WORKS. Your relationship building and regular, informed and prioritized communication with your members of Congress keeps NWA funding and other key funding on the forefront; something absolutely necessary in this federal funding environment of continued cuts.
This year, the overall available federal funding for housing and community development programs will be extremely tight and we need you on Capitol Hill explaining how that funding create jobs, leverages private investment, sustains communities and works quickly.
