AHA Members-Only Conference Call Series on the Effects of Stage 2 Meaningful Use on Hospitals and Physicians

Whether you are just starting your participation in the EHR Incentive Programs with Meaningful Use Stage 1, or are already preparing for Stage 2 of Meaningful Use, knowing the latest set of regulations will help you successfully participate in the incentive program, receive incentive payments and refine and integrate electronic health records into your hospital. The AHA is hosting two member calls to give members the opportunity to learn about the final Stage 2 Meaningful use regulations, which were published in September. You are encouraged to participate in either one or both of the calls.

Wednesday, October 17th, 3:00-4:30 pm Eastern - Review the regulations that apply to hospitals paid under the inpatient prospective payment system and critical access hospitals.

Wednesday, October 24th, 3:00-4:30 pm Eastern - Review the regulations that appy to physicians and other eligible professionals (EPs).

Both calls will cover the Stage 2 rules pertinent to that setting (hospital or EP) and how they differ from the Stage 1 requirements; quality reporting through the EHR; the timeline of the EHR incentive payments and program requirements; future penalties for provders that fail to meet meaningful use; and new certification rules. Chantal Worzala, AHA director of policy, will moderate the calls, and be joined by additional expert AHA staff.
