The Transportation Planning Branch of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is developing a Comprehensive Transportation Plan for the City in cooperation with the City of Asheboro and the Piedmont Triad Rural Planning Organization.
This is a long-range plan that identifies major transportation improvements that will be needed for highways, public transportation, and non-motorized facilities over the next 25 to 30 years.
