1. General Information
Thank you in advance for completing the Kansas Ag Ed/FFA Annual Report. Below you will find questions about a number of different ways that students can get involved in the Ag Ed program at your high school. All of the questions below are intended for all Ag Ed students (not just FFA members).
Please understand the survey requires more information this year as we have been asked by National FFA to gather additional data that will provide a better understanding of status Agricultural Education programs/ FFA chapters across the nation.
HINTS FOR COMPLETING THIS SURVEY:
***Print a copy and work from it to gather the data. Only enter the data on the web survey once all data is compiled.
***Use FFA student leaders in gathering data for the survey.
***ALL QUESTIONS EXCEPT THIS FIRST PAGE REQUIRE A NUMERICAL RESPONSE. Since all questions must be answered, please enter a "0" (zero) when no students in the program apply to the question asked.
***Some questions may require some "approximating". For example - in the SAE areas please get as close as possible, but to sort every student exactly into the various areas will be a challenge. Just please do as best as you can to determine the numbers.
***It will be a challenge for teachers that were not teaching in the same school in the past year. Please utilize student leaders to gather as much information as possible, we do realize that it will take some estimation on your part if you are new to your school.
THIS SURVEY SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 1 to 1.5 hours to compile the data and 20 minutes to enter the data once compiled. Thanks for your time in gathering this valuable information.
Note: All specific information entered will be kept strictly confidential on a per school basis. However, this total information for the entire state can be very valuable to provide a clear picture of student involvement in Kansas Agricultural Education. In addition, this information can be a very valuable tool that can be used in the following areas:
-Communicating with Kansas Legislators and Policy Makers
-Identifying possible learning opportunities for teacher inservice, FFA member workshops, etc.
-Communicating with Kansas FFA Foundation Sponsors
-Assist in goal setting for Kansas Ag Ed Leadership including KAAE, Kansas FFA Exec Committee, KS FFA Alumni, KSU Ag Ed, KSU College of Ag, and all other members of Kansas Team Ag Ed.
A similar survey is "officially endorsed" to be administered by KSDE. Those members of Team Ag Ed in Kansas endorsing the survey were: KAAE, Kansas FFA, KSDE, Kansas FFA Foundation, and KSU Agriculture Education.
