1. Introduction

Further to Amey’s abysmal pay offer for 2010 it seems that they are now implementing a back door ‘Performance Related Pay’ system for 2011 pay. Members have been informing us of personal contract pay awards ranging from 0% to 2% with no reasoning behind the decision.

Obviously we think this is wrong as Amey have always maintained that the PDR system does not constitute the basis for Performance Related Pay. We are currently gathering evidence to take this matter forward and would appreciate your response to the following questions.

Whilst this issue predominantley effects those not covered by collective bargaining we are worried that some members covered by collective bargaining may also have received these letters or that there may be other issues faced by members that we may not be aware of. Therefore we need as many members as possible to participate in the survey which should only take a few minutes to complete. The information you provide will form the basis of our discussions with management when we meet.
