Thank you for helping ACTion Alexandria understand how problems are currently solved by community members and organizations in the City of Alexandria. This survey will inform the development and evaluation of the new web-based ACTion Alexandria platform for exchanging community ideas, coordinating efforts to address local issues, and solving local problems. We are anxious to hear from community members, organizations who serve the public, and government employees and officials, all of whom will be able to interact on the new platform.
If you complete the survey, you will be eligible to win one of three $15 gift cards to the Lavender Moon Cupcakery, Cheestique, or Misha’s Coffeehouse and Roaster. After you complete the survey, you may pre-register for the ACTion Alexandria site and receive a “Founder” badge when the site launches on February 7th.
The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Your participation in this research is completely voluntary. You may choose not to take part at all. If you choose to take this survey you may skip any questions you are not comfortable answering. You may also stop at any time by closing your browser window.
A few questions ask you to provide personal information including your name and a persistent email address. Providing the information will allow us to match your responses with your participation in ACTion Alexandria and contact you for a follow-up survey in 6-months to a year. You may skip these questions if you desire.
There is a risk of the potential for the loss/breach of confidentiality. However, to mitigate this risk we will not share any of the responses or personal information with third parties. We will keep the survey results and contact information in locked offices and/or on password protected computers that are only accessible to the evaluation team or ACToin Alexandria staff.
If we write a report or article about this research project, your identity will be protected to the maximum extent possible. For example, we will not use any real names or quotes that would reveal an individual or organization by name. Your information may be shared with representatives of the University of Maryland, College Park or governmental authorities if you or someone else is in danger or if we are required to do so by law.
