. Thank you for your interest in taking part in this study. We are currently conducting research to determine the type of factors most associated with success in 12-Step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous. This project will involve filling out several surveys about your involvement with AA as well as attitudes and beliefs about experiences concerning spirituality and alcohol/drugs. This should take about 10 minutes. We believe the data from this project will shed further light on the treatment of addictions and we hope to present these findings at research conferences and in research journals.
Please note that your participation is completely voluntary. That is, you are free to decline completing these questionnaires. In keeping with the traditions of AA, all data will be kept completely anonymous. At no time will your name be asked and your computer's IP address will not be attached to your responses. Also, please note that you can skip any questions that make you uncomfortable and you maintain the right to withdraw your participation from this study at any time.
If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to request information about the results of this study, please feel free to contact the Principal Investigator: DJ Angelone, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Rowan University. Telephone number 856-256-4500 x3780 or email angeloned@rowan.edu.
