Comic Alter Ego Teen Art Lab Application

Course Description:

What is your comic alter-ego? Are you a hero, villain, yeti or other? Take this personality quiz of a class to explore your inner comic persona potential by encountering alternative identities and avatars in Himalayan art. Learn professional photography skills, dive into the Museum’s Hero, Villain, Yeti exhibition and work with guest artists skilled in inventing characters to reveal your transformation results with the world using digital photography.

WHEN DOES THIS ART LAB TAKE PLACE?

Comic Alter Ego Teen Art Lab meets every Monday from 4-6:30 pm from March 5 – May 14, 2012.

STUDENTS MUST COMMIT TO ATTENDING ALL MEETINGS.

WHO CAN JOIN?

All NYC area high school students may apply.

WHERE WILL WE MEET?

Art Labs meet at the Rubin Museum of Art, located at 150 West 17th Street, between 6th and 7th avenues.

HOW DO I JOIN?

Interested teens fill out this online application and will be contacted by the Rubin Museum for an interview.

DOES IT COST ANY MONEY?

Art Labs for Teens is a FREE program for all participants with all materials provided.
