1. Introduction
American Heritage is launching a National Portal to Museum Collections, which will provide access to objects and images in collections across the US.
Few history museums, historic sites, and historical societies provide online access to objects and images in their collections. As a result, much America’s historical legacy remains hidden and inaccessible to the public and educators.
American Heritage Society is partnering with the American Association for State and Local History to encourage participation in the National Portal Project and create a valuable, long-lasting educational resource with broad reach.
The purpose of this survey is to assess your institution's interest and readiness as a participant in the Portal
The 12 questions should only take you a couple of minutes to answer.
