Experiences of Psychosis Project

1. The Experiences of Psychosis Project

What is it about?

The Experiences of Psychosis Project is a user-led project supported by CAPS (The Consultation and Advocacy Promotion Service). CAPS is an independent advocacy organisation which works with people who use or have used mental health services. The aim of the project is to find out about different people’s experiences of psychosis.

What will happen to the information we collect?

The information will be used anonymously to help NHS Lothian provide a better service. This might be through training and information or by showing where there are gaps in services and support. NHS Lothian are funding the project.

What do we want to know?

We would like to know whatever you would like to tell us about your experience of psychosis. You might want to tell us about what happened, what your experience was like, how you found the support and treatment you had – it is entirely up to you.

Do I have to give my name or other details?

No, you can take part without giving any contact details. If you want feedback about the project you can leave contact details. CAPS is an independent advocacy organisation and will not pass on information about you to any other organisations.

How can I get involved?

If you would like to contribute your experiences you can do so by answering the questions in this survey or you can talk to us face to face.
