OTHER DISCIPLINES:
There is limited space to accept other disciplines who may wish to audit the course (i.e. Crisis Center Advocates & Law Enforcement Officers, & Prosecutors). This training has been opened to Law Enforcement officers, county attorneys, and crisis center advocates in order to foster a multi-disciplinary approach to dealing with sexual assault victims and handling these cases as they move through the criminal justice system. It is important that the different disciplines who work with sexual assault victims understand the unique role each discipline has in approaching sexual assault situations.

Please register early. Law enforcement continuing education credit will be awarded. General Education Credits will be offered for Crisis Center Advocates. This training program is co-sponsored by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, which has applied for continuing legal education for attorneys through the New Hampshire Bar Association. Please note that Attorneys wishing to receive CLE credit must sign in each day of the trainings and provide their Bar number in order to receive full credit.

Prosecutors: Effective courtroom presentation requires working knowledge of anatomy to educate the jury/judges and to de-bunk common myths about the physiology of sexual assault. In order to do this, the prosecutor must work with the forensic/medical provider both before trial and at trial. This training will discuss effective preparation techniques for the prosecutor as well as the medical witness.
