My name is Frances Harkin and I am currently doing a PhD with the Institute of Irish Studies at Queen's University, Belfast. This research focuses upon the the Gaelic Athletic Association in London.

The purpose of this research is to explore the role of the Gaelic Athletic Association in London, and the influence this sporting organisation has upon the sense of identity (Irish or otherwise) within the Irish Diaspora.
