Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and DU alum Roger Birnbaum will visit the Media, Film & Journalism Studies department on April 25 and 26. This is an exclusive opportunity for MFJS majors to meet Roger and learn more about how he went from DU student to head of one of the biggest entertainment studios in the world.
There will be several opportunities for students to visit with Birnbaum.
On Wednesday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m., the MFJS department will host a screening of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Space is limited, so students are requested to RSVP below to reserve a space. Birnbaum will introduce the film and talk briefly with students before the screening.
On Thursday, April 26, Birnbaum will visit two film classes. First, at 10:00 a.m., he will meet with Film History III: Contemporary Cinema students. Then at 12:00, he will meet with the Narrative Film Production II class. There are additional limited seats open for MFJS majors in both of these classes.
Students wishing to participate in either of the class sessions should RSVP below - EVEN IF YOU ARE A STUDENT IN THE CLASS. We'll need to know exactly how many students are attending each event. Film majors and students in each class get priority seating. If we cannot accommodate your request, we will contact you as soon as possible.
