Downtown Toronto Commuter Survey

1. Welcome to the Downtown Commuter Survey!

This survey is part of a study investigating factors that increase or decrease the likelihood of utilitarian cycling by people who commute to the University of Toronto St. George Campus on a regular basis. Utilitarian cycling is non-recreational commute to work, school, to do shopping, to pick up children from daycare or school, or to carry out other activities worked into one's daily routine. The survey asks downtown commuters if they ride bicycles or prefer walking and what influences their decisions.

This survey is being conducted by a UofT graduate student as part of her Master of Science in Planning thesis in the UofT Geography Department and Program in Planning.

Results of the survey will be published at www.doyoucycle.webs.com and will be provided to organizations and groups working on cycling issues on the UofT St. George Campus and beyond. The organizations include Bikechain, the UofT Sustainability Office, and the Toronto Coalition for Active Transportation.
