This will be a series of sessions presenting information about providing services for people with access and functional needs. There will be additional sessions with different topics approximately once a month. The first session is scheduled for Monday, May 7, starting at 6:30 PM and ending no later than 8:30 PM. The live presentation will be at the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, 5550 Venture Drive, Parma 44130. The following counties will host a distance learning option within their county: Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina.
The first session will explain the reasons to address the needs of all community members when volunteering in a shelter or a POD. The second portion of the first session will examine issues of etiquette when interacting with people with access and functional needs. Our presenters for the first session will be from LEAP (Linking, Employment, Abilities and Potential).
