Worst Louisiana Refinery Accident 2005-2008

1. The Worst Refinery Accident in Louisiana? You decide.

Over the last year, the Louisiana Bucket Brigade has been researching Louisiana's refinery accidents from 2005 to 2008.

During accidents, refineries can release hundreds and thousands of pounds of toxic chemicals with known health effects.

After analyzing over 2,000 accident reports - filed by the refineries themselves - we created a list of the six worst accidents. We now need YOU to pick the very worst accident of the bunch.

To vote:
1. Click the "Yes, this is the worst accident button" below the accident of your choice.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Done"

Some questions you might want to consider as you make your choice:
1. Was the accident preventable?
2. How hazardous were the chemicals?(www.atsdr.cdc.gov/toxfaq.html)
3. Could the release affect the well-being of people living close to the plant?
