I might read one post a day that someone has recommended, but that's pretty much it. I have my favourite blogs and enjoy reading any new posts each day, probably spending half an hour or so. I can spend ages reading blogs, following links and going down all sorts of avenues. I'm very selective about my blog-reading and find I'm doing it less and less. If the blogger is the author of a book, how happy are you to read about their good news, such as awards, reviews etc. It's fine by me if all they blog about is their books - it's the author's blog and I want to read it I like the author, so I'm delighted to hear their good news, but I won't read the blog if that's ALL they do I don't read author blogs in order to hear their good news, but I don't mind as long as most of the blogposts are more interesting/varied I accept that they have a perfect right to blog their good news but I don't have time to read it If an author blogs about good news such as an award I won't be reading that blog again Next
