People in LA are too spread out geographically, making any demonstration here less dramatic.
Angelenos arrive late and leave early for concerts and ballgames. It'll be the same for OccupyLA.
OccupyLA will feed off success elsewhere and become a strong political statement.
A city that ignores 80,000 homeless people year after year will easily overlook a few thousand demonstrators for a few weeks
L.A. has as strong an activist community as any city. The "die hards" will Occupy come rain or shine.
