Parent Survey - Assessment of Standards for Accreditation

Assessment of Standards for Accreditation

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In this survey, you are asked to rate your child’s school on how well it meets the Standards for Accreditation of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
  2. The school must meet the 12 Standards for Accreditation to be granted “Accreditation” by the Middle States Association.
  3. The Middle States Standards for Accreditation are rigorous criteria for the level of quality required in the educational programs, operations, and services expected of all accredited institutions.
  4. Each Standard is amplified by a set of Indicators of Quality that show possible evidence or ways that a school can demonstrate it meets the Standard for Accreditation.
  5. The Indicators of Quality for the Standard identify the types of evidence that, when taken together, indicate whether the school meets the Standard.
  6. Meeting the Standard means that the Standard describes the school to an acceptable degree.
  7. Please rate each Indicator based on your personal knowledge of and experience with your child’s school.
  8. In this self-assessment survey, rate each Indictor of Quality for each Standard for Accreditation using the following scale: Rating of Adherence to the Indicator
    1. The school DOES NOT MEET the expectations of this Indicator
    2. The school PARTIALLY MEETS the expectations of this Indicator and NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
    3. The school MEETS the expectations of this Indicator
    4. The school EXCEEDS the expectations of this Indicator
  9. If you do not have sufficient knowledge or experience to rate an Indicator, leave it blank.
  10. If you rate a Standard either 2 (Partially meets) or 1 (Does not meet), please provide the reason for your rating in the “Comments” section for that Standard.
