MAAEC has been providing limited services to the ever growing Ethiopian community in the greater D/FW area for over 20 years. However, the need for expanded socio-cultural services has become acute. It is deemed both urgent and critical to establish an Ethiopian Community Cultural Center that would serve the cultural, educational, economic and psychological needs of the community. To that end, a task force was established by the general assembly of the MAAEC to develop an overall project plan. In order to help translate this dream to a reality, we urge each and every one of you to take an active part in every phase of this major undertaking. We can only succeed if the larger community embraces the effort. The task force is committed to learn from other success stories across the United States.
