We are currently designing a pair of glasses that use ultrasonic sensors to detect nearby objects or obstacles and notifying the user through a vibration to either the left, center, or right side of the chest in a vest or suspenders, depending on where the obstacle is located. The glasses would be able to detect a obstacle from up to 2 meters away, and the vibration would increase the closing you were to the object. The device battery would last at least 8 hours, and would be powered by two rechargeable AA batteries.
