1. Thank you for caring about our nations Veterans and their families by participating in this important survey. Hopefully you will find the following questions straight forward, easy to understand and based in common sense. We have some tremendous challenges facing our families and communities that need to be addressed, to accomplish this we need to create a community and a collective voice. Let's get started.

What are some of your concerns or frustrations regarding our nations Veterans and their families?

2. Do you believe the military should develop a mandatory decompression program for each and every Veteran prior to coming home?

3. The reluctance of Veterans to ask for help is in part due to military training that instills self reliance and the willingness to accomplish missions at all cost, even at the cost of one's own life. This way of being is critical to survival in times of war but prevents far too many Veterans from asking and receiving the help they need to recover from war and deployment.

How important to you feel it is to send a message from the Veterans and Families of our nation to government and the military that a mandatory decompression program prior to homecoming must be developed and implemented?

4. How satisfied are you with the amount of support and continuous information that is available for military parents, grandparents and extended family members?

5. With what is at stake: 18 Veteran Suicides Per Day and the loss to families and communities, how important would you rate the need to bring Veterans and their families closer together to support each other in your community?

7. How important do you feel it is for Veterans and their families in your zip code to have access to regularly scheduled telephone conference calls and community gatherings to discuss important issues that are needing attention?

8. The extended family members and communities surrounding our nations Veterans is an under served and often overlooked audience. We need to change this by creating a community and collective voice. Please help us by letting us know if you are a Veteran, family member, friend or community supporter of a Veteran. Every person who is directly or indirectly impacted by war, deployment and homecoming is important and your input is needed.

9. If there were specific areas of interest relating to homecoming for Veterans and their families that you would like to learn more about, what would they be?

No answer is required but Purple Star Veterans and Families would like to know how to provide relevant and important news and information to the homecoming community.
