* 1. Since the meeting in Glasgow in October last year, a working group has been developing our thinking about the need for a community bank in Scotland. Working with Malcolm Hayday, the founding chief executive of Charity Bank, we believe it is time to create a place where savers (the third sector and like-minded people and organisations), driven by the common desire of a more transparent and responsible management of financial resources, can meet community , environmental and social initiatives, inspired by shared values of a sustainable social and human development.
