This is a demonstration project sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The purpose of this demonstration is to:

- Improve the quality of patient care and reduce exposure to radiation and unnecessary care for Medicare Fee-for-Service beneficiaries

- Evaluate the impact of decision support system (DSS) on physician ordering of high-cost imaging studies based on guidelines developed by professional societies

- Assess the impact of DSS on appropriateness and utilization of 11 advanced imaging studies
