Calling all users of the Medmont 700 Field Screener
You may be aware from previous correspondence that LOCSU, with the support of Optometry Scotland and Optometry Wales, submitted a bid for the Provision of Vision Testing services being tendered for by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
The DVLA has recently announced that the review of tenders has been extended, and they have requested additional information regarding equipment that can be used for visual field testing of Group 2 drivers (approximately 3000 tests per year across England, Scotland and Wales).
In order to be able to fully meet the DVLA’s requirements, LOCSU are looking to identify any practices who have a Medmont 700 visual field screener who haven’t already expressed an interest in becoming a sub-contractor in the LOCSU bid.
This survey collects the information we require at this stage to meet the DVLA's requirements.

Please note, by expressing an interest you are not committed to participating in the future delivery of services. We appreciate that practices will require full details of fees and other contractual terms, before they decide whether they wish to proceed.
It should also be noted that this is not part of the formal sub-contractor selection process. Should the bid be successful, there will be a process to recruit sub-contractors, as agreed with the DVLA.
