This summer, globe-trot without leaving the city by taking a journey to cross-cultural hotspots as you experience an art museum like never before! Investigate works of art at the Rubin Museum of Art followed by related trips to off the beaten track temples, contemporary art events, cuisine, theater and museums in this free summer internship!

Connected city will focus on the Fiercely Modern: Art of the Naga Warrior AND From India East: Sculpture of Devotion featured summer exhibitions.

• Explore Himalayan Art and Culture
• Take related art adventures and expand your repertoire of must see cultural treasures in NYC
• Learn the art of discussion as part of a passionate group of teens who love art
• Work on a dedicated team of teens to produce videos and blogs


WHEN DOES THIS ART LAB TAKE PLACE?

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in July 2013. 2-5:30.

STUDENTS MUST COMMIT TO ATTENDING ALL MEETINGS.

WHO CAN JOIN?

All NYC area high school students may apply.

WHERE WILL WE MEET?

Art Labs meet at the Rubin Museum of Art, located at 150 West 17th Street, between 6th and 7th avenues.
HOW DO I JOIN?

Interested teens fill out this online application and will be contacted by the Rubin Museum for an interview.

DOES IT COST ANY MONEY?

Art Labs for Teens is a FREE program for all participants with all materials provided.
