Come join us for the Annual Rivanna River Sojourn.

In preparation for your Rivanna Adventure we would appreciate your completing this registration survey. The information will be used only to finalize the Sojourn roster and customize each day's events.
What: Rivanna River Sojourn
Dates: April 27 and April 28, 2013
Time: Convene at the Pull Out Site at 8:30am for a 9:00am launch. See details below.

Day 1 - Saturday April 27, 2013 (8:30am - 4:30pm)
Meet at Palmyra DGIF Boat Launch for
Transportation from Palmyra to Milton departure site

Day 2- Sunday April 28, 2013 (8:30am - 4:30pm)
Meet at Columbia DGIF Boat Launch for
Transportation from Columbia to Palmyra departure site

RAIN DATES: May 4-5, 2013

The Rivanna Conservation Society (RCS) Blue Ridge Mountain Sports (BRMS) are again hosting the Rivanna River Sojourn.

RCS/BRMS will provide all the transportation, guides, safety measures and daily lunch, drinks, and snacks along the way. For those who would like to collect trash along the way, a prize will be given for the most interesting trash.

REGISTRATION FEES – NOTE: 50% OF THE TOTAL FEE IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE!
One Day Sojourn $60 Adult $45 Minor
Two Day Sojourn $115 Adult $65 Minor

REGISTRATION FEES WILL PROVIDE
- Kayaks/Canoes/Paddles/Personal flotation devices available (first come-first serve basis)
- Full Shuttle Service between launch and take-out sites - cars to be left at pull out site
- Lunch and refreshments
- A professionally guided paddle down the Rivanna River
- On-River Activities: Wildlife/birding, river exploration and/or clean-up
- Prizes for the most interesting trash collected

LOGISTICS
Paddlers will convene at the "Pull Out" Site by 8:30am (this is so your car will be waiting for you at the end of the day). We will travel by bus to the "Put In" for a 9:00am departure. The paddle should conclude by 4:30 - 5:00pm.

DAY I - Meeting location will be at the Palmyra Boat Launch
DIRECTIONS: From Charlottesville take I-64 East toward Richmond. Take exit 136 for US-15 South toward Palmyra. Pass through the town of Palmyra and go over the bridge crossing the Rivanna River. Take the first right onto Rt. 53. Go about 200 yards and make a right at the faded brown sign indicating DGIF Boat Launch. Look for the RCS Event Sign.

DAY 2 - Meeting location will be at the Columbia Boat Launch.
DIRECTIONS: From Charlottesville take I-64 East toward Richmond. Take exit 136 for US-15 South toward Palmyra. After approx. 15 miles, turn left onto Rt. 6 East toward Columbia. After approx. 5 miles, you will cross a bridge over the James. Turn right onto Rt. 690/Columbia Rd. Take an immediate right to the boat landing road leading to the James River. Look for the RCS Event Sign

PRE-SOJOURN BRIEFING: Thursday, APRIL 25, 2013, The briefing will be held from 7:00- 8:00pm at the Blue Ridge Mountain Sports store in the Barracks Road Shopping Center
