Casuarina Coastal Reserve
This survey is being conducted by the Casuarina Coastal Reserve Advisory Committee to gather community views on the future direction of the Reserve.
The Casuarina Coastal Reserve Advisory Committee is an advisory group established by the Territory Government. Their role is to ensure there is more direct and ongoing input by the local community in the management and future direction of the Reserve.
Casuarina Coastal Reserve comprises of over 1 500 ha and receives over 700 000 visitors a year, making it the most visited Park or Reserve in the Northern Territory. The Reserve is culturally important to the Larrakia people, who have strong ties to the land and sea and are custodians of sacred sites and sites of significance within the Reserve.
The current Plan of Management for the Reserve is due to expire in 2012. The Committee would like to hear from the community about their ideas for the future direction of the Reserve. How do you think the Reserve could be improved, what works well and what would you like to see retained or removed. The information you provide will assist in the development of a new Plan of Management to help guide the future of the Reserve.
Have your say about the Reserve by taking 5 to 10 minutes to complete the Community Survey.
