Healthy City helps people visualize information that informs the work they do in their local communities and across the state of California. To help us tailor this training to meet your needs, please take a moment to think about some of the research questions you might have in your work, and how mapping or charting this information might be helpful in clarifying an issue, or helping to make your argument. Here are a few examples of research questions that can be mapped or otherwise displayed on HealthyCity.org:

1. Where is there a high concentration of Families living below Poverty in my city, and are there resources available (such as food, shelter, and financial assistance)?

2. Where are the legal services in my community (or city, or political jurisdiction), and what types of services do they provide?

3. How do the crime rates in my county compare to the state of California?

4. Where are welfare offices/health clinics in relationship to consumers and clients?

5. Where has affordable housing been built in my community?
