On Feb 1, 2010 voters in Santa Fe County elected three new school board members. Those school board members take office on March 1. Until then the existing school board continues to supervise and make decisions for Santa Fe Public Schools.

Superintendent Gutierrez currently has a contract with a term that ends on June 30, 2012. This survey asks your opinions regarding possible changes that would extend the term of her contract.

3. The currently sitting school board should extend Superintendent Gutierrez's contract by one year before the newly elected board members take office. The extended contract would end on June 30, 2013.

4. The currently sitting school board should extend Superintendent Gutierrez's contract by two years before the newly elected board members take office. The extended contract would end on June 30, 2014.

5. The School Board should leave Superintendent Gutierrez's contract unchanged, postponing any changes until the three newly elected board members take office on March 1.
