CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH COMPETITION 2012
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This competition is only open to individuals over 18 years of age who are English language teachers and who do not speak English as their first language.
2. Entrants must have at least an intermediate level of English (Common European Framework level B2) e.g. they can:
• follow or give a talk on a familiar topic or keep up a conversation on a fairly wide range of topics;
• scan texts for relevant information, and understand detailed instructions or advice; and
• make notes while someone is talking or write a letter including non-standard requests.
3. This competition will begin on Wednesday 18 January 2012 and end at midnight GMT on Monday 16 April 2012. All entries must be received by midnight GMT on Monday 16 April 2012.
4. To make a valid entry, entrants must have completed all sections of the online entry form and completed Q13 in no more than 300 words. Incomplete entries and entries exceeding the 300 word limit for Q13 will not be accepted.
5. Only one entry will be accepted per person. The entry must be the original work of the entrant.
6. Winners will be chosen within 7 days of the closing date.
7. If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the closing date their prize shall be forfeit and we will choose a replacement winning entry.
8. Only winning entrants will be contacted.
9. There are four first prize packages comprising of a two-week residential course at Bell Teacher Campus in Cambridge, United Kingdom 1 July to 14 July 2012 including accommodation, daily breakfast and weekday evening meals, but excluding lunch and any social programme or other optional activities. The prize packages also include return economy class flights to and from the UK, airport transfers within the UK and £200 GBP meal allowance for lunches and weekend meals.
10. The four first prize packages shall be subject to the standard terms and conditions for the Bell Teacher Campus residential courses.

• Availability of a Bell course will depend on the competition winner’s level of English.

11. Winners: by submitting your entry you agree, if selected as a winner, to participate in all publicity reasonably requested by Cambridge ESOL and Bell, including without limitation press, print and online publicity including publication of both your name and photo. You also agree to participate in a filmed interview whilst in Cambridge, which may be used on public websites and other media.
All entrants: by submitting your entry you irrevocably and unconditionally waive all rights under Chapter IV of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Cambridge ESOL and Bell may use all entry ideas on any media, including printed and on websites, with or without including the entrant’s name.
12. Cambridge ESOL and Bell reserve the right to contact all competition participants for future marketing purposes using contact details submitted, unless participant specifically requests otherwise.
13. Cambridge ESOL and Bell cannot and do not guarantee the winners will have or be able to obtain an entry permit to the United Kingdom for the purpose of attending the course.
14. Cambridge ESOL and Bell will not provide any insurance cover for the winners, including without limitation travel insurance. The winners will be solely responsible for obtaining any insurance cover they require at their own cost.
15. Once notified, the winners will be required to confirm within a then-specified time frame that they will attend the course and that they have a valid right to enter the United Kingdom for the purpose of attending the course. It is the responsibility of each winner to ensure they have the
