Climate change has been recognized by the university as an area of strategic research importance. It represents a broad area of study in which many faculty members have an interest.

This survey will be used to conduct a network analysis as a means of mapping expertise that presently exists at York University with respect to climate change in order to identify who may be interested in collaborating on this type of research in the future. This visual mapping method will allow CC-RAI to better understand the potential for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Ultimately, the questionnaire will be used for the following purposes:

1. Creating a better database of climate change research and researchers at York University
2. Helping address the current challenge of finding colleagues with similar interests and specific skill-sets
3. Making it easier to profile your work and research projects amongst other faculty at the university
4. Developing a network of relationships on which to build climate change expertise among students, faculty and external partners

The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary and you may wish to withdraw at any time. All personal information will remain confidential and data will be securely stored.
