Brown Bag Lunch - Energy Efficiency in High Performance Buildings: achieving deep energy savings

In this session, we will begin by setting a context for high performance buildings – creating productive and vibrant places that provide excellent indoor environmental quality while reducing building operating costs. Next we will discuss the overarching building system categories regulated by commercial energy codes: Exterior Envelope, Lighting, Mechanical Systems and Service Water Heating. In each category we will describe strategies and approaches that enable a building to move beyond code requirements to achieve deeper energy savings. Example projects will be presented to give these strategies context in real-world project settings.
