Further information about the JIP: The Growth and Innovation Fund (GIF) has been put in place to support employers in England to be more ambitious about raising skills in their sectors and to improve the development and deployment of workplace knowledge and skills. The Joint Investment Programme (JIP) is part of GIF and provides the chance for employers in England to invest jointly with the Government in the training that meets specific skills needs and opportunities for business growth and productivity. Each qualification will require a cash co-investment from employers of at least 50%, with the rest paid by Government. All sizes of employers are eligible to benefit, including the self employed, with funded training available from March 2012 to July 2013. SkillsActive, the Sport and Fitness Employers Group (SAFE) and the FIA have identified the QCF approved qualifications in this survey as areas for growth in the health and fitness sector. Any information given as part of this survey will remain confidential and will only be used by SkillsActive, the FIA and the lead training provider, Sussex Downs College for the purpose of contacting interested parties in the JIP. One of a network of approved training providers will then contact each individual to arrange the detail of the training.
