The 2010 contest theme is “Bringing it Home” (this year’s Santa Barbara Earth Day theme). With this theme, we hope to solicit compelling and pragmatic solutions, and entertaining commentaries regarding, sustainable living, eating and growing local food, sustainable transportation, energy independence and a green future without petroleum. This is a chance for concerned citizens to share the ways in which we can “Bring it Home” by all reducing our consumption of fossil fuels, protecting our environment and reducing our carbon footprint. There will be three top awards for all ages, three student awards (ages 11 and under, ages 12 to 18, and a College Award), as well as a Traffic Solutions Award (for all ages) that will be given to movies that focus on sustainable transportation solutions.
Note that only residents in Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo are eligible for this contest.
