Digital Literacy Landscape in Public Libraries

General Questions

 17%
As part of a federally funded grant, several state libraries are working with WebJunction to better understand the types of training and assistance provided to patrons in public libraries. We’re specifically interested in training and assistance on topics such as basic computer skills, Internet searching or online job applications – which are sometimes referred to as "digital literacy training". The information collected through this research will also help state library staff and WebJunction learn about constraints and support needed for libraries to expand training and assistance if desired.

But to get there, we need your help in understanding what libraries are doing now in this area and what challenges exist. We’re seeking responses on all individual library physical locations so we have a community-level view. This survey has a maximum of 20 questions and should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

If you have any questions or need clarification on any of the survey content, please contact Kendra Morgan at morgank@oclc.org. Thank you for your help!
