Our main topic for this week's show is Advertising in Games; more specifically, I'm interested in how much advertising would you tolerate in order to play the game for free. Below are some theories/concepts that I was thinking of to make games free 2 play or reduced in price so a player could still get everything for free(classes/abilities/items/weapons etc.) I've listed a few theories/concepts that would allow for free-2-play or reduced pricing without restricting the player's gameplay experience (classes/abilities/items/weapons/etc)
Now keeping in mind companies make games to make money I am trying to find a sweet spot for companies and Players so below are my ideas, please vote on which ones you would more likely do based on the following conditions.
1) Hot AAA title that everyone is talking about and has received fantastic reviews
2) Game would have a subscription fee model (monthly or yearly) and future DLC that could be purchased
3) Game has a campaign and multi player modes
4) All adds and advertising could be turned of/disabled if you shell out the bucks for everything

Game is totally free, free to acquire, free multiplayer & free dlc. Here is the catch. All billboards show real world sponsors on them (for example Coke, Geiko, Duracell,etc). Also all weapons, items & clothing would have current & real product names. For example a gun might have Remington on it, a visor will have a Oakley logo on it, vehicles would have Ford/Chevy/Dodge branding on them. Finally, in between each match/campaign level you would have to sit through a 10 second commercial that could not be skipped.
Everything is the same here except this condition. You would need to purchase the game (60.00 bucks) but you would not have the commercials in between matchmaking rounds and no commercials in campaign.
Everything is the same here as the first example except these conditions. You pay 30 bucks for the game (retail full price is 60) but you need to pay for any dlc that comes out.
