AuSable River Country

1. AuSable River Country

Au Sable River Country; it is a place, it is an image and it is more. Au Sable River Country is an image of clear, clean waters running with fish and ready for your recreation. It is an image of a natural area characterized by peacefulness, hard-working, friendly neighbors and communities that celebrate good things in life. It is an image of where you want to relax, where you want to live and raise your children or where you want to retire. It is an image of contentment.

Au Sable River Country is a place that is defined as the counties through which the Au Sable River runs; Crawford, Oscoda, Alcona and Iosco counties in NE Michigan. It is a place where we invite visitors to become residents, and residents to do business. It is a place where we work together to bring growth and advancement in ways that don’t change the image and reality of the place.

Au Sable River Country is an organization as well. It is a group of concerned people from those four counties who are working together to promote the region as a place to live. “Come and live your passions” we say to people all over the world who value the assets that ARC, the place, has to offer.

The long-term goal of ARC, the organization, is to attract permanent residents who will work here and bring jobs and economic opportunity. It is also about encouraging the entrepreneurship that will create those jobs and that opportunity. And to do that, we believe that we must let the world know about ARC the place and it’s image.
