Arise! Must Arise Anew - Join Us!

Your Help Is Needed

Arise! needs your help! After 2 recent community meetings and much discussion, it's become apparent that a radical new direction is needed for Arise to survive. With much money owed to book distributors and an impending several thousand dollars of debt (mostly from property taxes looming on May 15), it is extremely likely that Arise must move if it is going to survive in whatever form.

With several other radical community spaces folding in recent years - including the Belfry, the Jack Pine Community Center, and Northland Poster Collective - Arise simply cannot fold without a transformed or new institution taking its place. Rather than letting the awful realities of capitalism tear us apart, we want to figure out a way to arise anew. A new form. A new location. A new way to continue serving and being part of the radical and progressive community in the Twin Cities. But we need your help!

Please start by taking this survey - 10 questions in 10 minutes or less.

More importantly, please join us at our next weekly community organizing meeting--bring your ideas and energy. You don't need to have had any prior involvement in Arise to participate.

Next Meeting:
Sunday, February 28
5:00pm, at Arise

For updates, ask a friend, stop by 2441 Lyndale Ave. S., or visit arisebookstore.org or tc.indymedia.org. Thank you!!
