Introduction

Welcome to State Library of Queensland's Queensland Collections, Access and Digitisation Survey 2013. Please take a moment to read this introduction.

As shared custodians of Queensland memory, this survey has been designed to explore how all of us currently - and into the future - provide access to Queensland's collections, whether through digitisation, online catalogues, publications or using social media.

We are conducting this survey to gather information about historical collections in Queensland's organisations. Your responses will help us to plan our activities, training programs, and promote and develop online platforms and toolkits. By participating in the survey, you are also sharing information about your collections, your expertise, and your projects.

The need for a sustainable, collaborative, and connected network of Queensland memory is important to all of us. Your information will help to establish a distributed collection of Queensland memory and provide opportunities to link our collections online.

As an added bonus, we are offering a prize for participating. Once you have completed and submitted the survey, your organisation will go into the draw to win one of two prizes - an iPad or a digital camera!

The survey collection period will finish at the end of March 2013. Results will be made available via the Queensland Memory enewsletter. If you need to subscribe to the enewsletter, please email qldmemory@slq.qld.gov.au. Be sure to place "Subscribe QM enewsletter" in subject line.

Disclaimer: Personal information, for example your e-mail and suburb/town, is being collected by the State Library of Queensland for statistical purposes only. Your information will be kept secure and we will not disclose your information to a third party.
