1. Summary/Instructions
The Circuit 19 Child Abuse Prevention Planning Team is in the process of developing our statutorily required Five-Year Plan for 2010-2015, and are in need of your assistance.
The following survey is designed to gather information about the programs and activities that aid in the prevention of child abuse. The information will be used to identify gaps in the child abuse prevention continuum in our community, and to support a priority ranking of county level needs for abuse prevention services. Strategies for prevention of Child maltreatment are very broadly-based and many times we don’t give ourselves credit for activities organizations conduct that assist with this effort. In your response, please be sure to include the following activities :
Community Development, Community support for families including resource centers, community events and fairs; Concrete services such as food banks, clothing banks, transportation , respite care; Family supportive programs/services, Information and referral and helplines, and family-friendly workplace policies.
